Our Family

We're a homeschooling Christian family on a mission to raise thoughtful, independent learners who think critically, solve problems creatively, and grow in their faith. Our household includes twin boys who are thirteen and a ten-year-old daughter—three unique personalities with their own learning styles, interests, and questions about the world.

While our boys were still young, we explored the brand-new STEM school by our home. We realized that a one-size-fits-all approach wasn't not the right fit for our children's individual needs. We wanted something different—an environment where our children could ask hard questions, explore their curiosity, and develop a strong foundation rooted in our Christian values.

That's when we made the leap to homeschooling. It wasn't an easy decision, but it's been one of the most rewarding choices we've made as a family. Homeschooling has allowed us to tailor education to each child's pace and learning style. More importantly, it's given us the freedom to weave our faith throughout every subject—not as an afterthought, but as the lens through which we understand the world.

As we've navigated this journey, we've discovered incredible resources, tools, and materials that have transformed how our children learn. We've also realized that many other families are searching for the same things we were—quality educational resources that honor both academic excellence and spiritual growth. That's why we started Wise Wood.

Our shop exists to share the resources, books, curricula, and tools that have made a real difference in our homeschool. We believe that education should cultivate free thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deep faith in God. We're here to help other families find the materials they need to build a homeschool that reflects their values and nurtures their children's unique potential.
